Welcome to
ASIB on the WEB!!

The club has been producing its own magazine for many years now, ever since the first edition of "The Eagle Has Landed" was produced at the beginning of the 1994-95 season.  It started life as a free give-away that was hastily produced every Friday and loosely took the form of a programme for the next day's matches.

Since then, it has had many guises, increasing in content as it decreased in frequency, becoming a fortnightly match day programme for the 1999-2000 season and then a monthly publication thereafter.  The biggest changes to the magazine have been witnessed since 2004, however, which was when it changed its name to "A Star Is Born" in accordance with the metamorphosis that was being undertaken by the whole club.

In deference to the present day dominance of the internet, and the current editor's reticence to publish more often than is absolutely necessary, the magazine is now only produced in hard copy sporadically, typically at Christmas and for the Club Dinner with sundry other editions in between.  However, now that the Editor has been released from the ardour of managing the Reserve team to its most successful two seasons ever, it is anticipated that the Magazine will be printed at least 4 times every season.  The Internet version is constantly updated, though, and the current list of articles can be found below, as can the Magazine archives for all you "ASIB Anoraks" out there.

For the coming season, ASIB on the WEB will feature previews, match reports and sundry other items of interest to the club at large on a regular basis.  Nevertheless, anyone who has anything that they would like to have published on ASIB on the WEB should forward it, even if it is only a rough idea, to James Mole, the Star FC Magazine editor, in the first instance and the ASIB on the WEB team will do the rest!
