Star
FC pre-season training takes place at the club's home ground, at the Bishops Cleeve Sports Ground, a map to which can be found
on the "Find Us" page. It runs from 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm and for season 2007-08, it starts
on Tuesday, 17th July and continues at this venue every Tuesday until the end of August.
During the season, training
moves to the all weather surface at the Christ's College Sports Centre in Arle Road, Cheltenham. As this is
under lights, the start time moves to 8:00pm and each session finishes at 9:45 pm. For season 2007-08,
training at Christ's College starts on Tuesday, 18th September and runs until the end of March 2008, with a break for Christmas
and New Year.
The club's training
sessions are presided over by the Club Coach, who holds a UEFA "B" licence and who is usually assisted by several other qualified
coaches. The sessions are designed to improve both fitness and technique and are usually enjoyed by everyone.
Training is free for
club members. All other persons who wish to attend Star FC training sessions should apply to the Club's General Secretary,
in the first instance, for details of the current fees.
