Saturday, 27th February
For the first time in 2010, all three of the club's
teams gained victories at the same time today, with the First and Third teams winning away and the Reserves picking
up three points at home
The First team made the short trip to Cheltenham
Civil Service to visit the Northern Senior League Division One's bottom placed team but were made to battle all the way
by the home side. Simon Reeve opened the scoring on 22 minutes but Civil Service hit back with a cross shot 10 minutes
before the break to make it 1-1 at half time. In poor conditions, Jordan Kontarines made it 2-1 with virtually his first
touch after coming on as a Substitute in the 72nd minute and that was the end of the scoring, even though Chris Peach hit
a post with 10 minutes left and Stuart Walker had a header disallowed for offside shortly before the end.
The Reserves welcomed Finlay Rovers to Cheltenham Road and made the perfect start when
James Mole gave them the lead after just 2 minutes with a well worked goal. The visitors came back strongly, however,
and equalised after 10 minutes, thanks to a spectacular own goal by Jack Walsh, and then took the lead midway through the
half thanks to another own goal, this time from Scott Saurin. Jamie Roberts put the Reserves back on level terms within
two minutes of the start of the second half, however, and then proceeded to score another three, to turn the game on its head
and confirm an excellent 5-2 victory.
The Third team, meanwhile,
made the trip to Plock Court to take on Kings Reserves in Cheltenham League Division Four and will have been delighted to
return home with a 2-1 win. Adam Slade scored the first, after 6 minutes, with an excellent strike and Josh Richards
scored the goal that proved to be the winner on the half hour

With
the Reserve Team's away game at Apperley & Tewkesbury Dynamos being called off at lunchtime today, only the Firsts
and the Third team were in action today, both at home and with mixed results.
The First
team welcomed Stonehouse Town to Cheltenham Road for a Northern Senior League Division One fixture and gained
their fifth win in the team's last 6 games thanks to a 2-1 victory. Steve Conway opened the scoring in the first
half with a header from a corner but the visitors hit back before half time, equalising from a corner of their own soon before
the break. In the end, it was left to substitute Steve Piper to notchthe goal that proved to be the winner when,
with 20 minutes to go, he latched on to a ball from Tim Jones to score under the 'keeper's body with
his first touch.
The Third team entertained Tivoli Rovers in a Cheltenham
League Division Four fixture and the two teams contested a goal-less first half during which they effectively cancelled each
other out. Tivoli took the lead soon after the restart when Rich Gill put through his own goal in unfortunate circumstances
and then the visitors doubled their lead before Mark Jenkins pulled one back for the Thirds. The two goal cushion was
restored almost immediately, however, and ensured that the final score was 3-1 to Tivoli Rovers.
